I worked for 2 months in the MS Society and it was really interesting to see and to learn how a American company works. The MS Society provides programmes and services to more than 20,000 people living with multiple sclerosis in Northern California and finds critical research projects to help develop better treatments and find a cure. In my 2 months in the MS Society I could do different things. I called all self help groups for a check-in. I had also to write letters for clients with MS. I worked at a Farmers Market and I had to build a network of physical therapist, neurologist and MRI centers in San Francisco which are all connected to the MS Society and now have information and I have to prepare a Powerpoint presentation to share with patients with MS self help groups. All in one it was a really nice and interesting experience that I would miss. Also I was really happy about my volunteer coordinator and because of this it made it really easy.
I worked in a non-profit organization for 2 months. It was a great experience for me and I could really benefit from this internship. All was really well organized and the volunteer coordinator took really good care of me. My daily duties were telephone calls promotion for the MS Society, preparing presentations for self-help groups and also data entry. The daily dealing with my colleagues gave me this great opportunity to improve my English and learn more about the American business.
