Tutorial lessons (1 student per teacher)
The language program is based entirely on individual lessons. The instructor's attention is focused entirely on you, the student, and allows the lessons to be targeted to your specific goals and learning needs. Private lessons also allow the teaching methods to be adapted to the learning style and pace at which you can most effectively learn. This ensures that you make the maximum progress in a short period of time.
News Review (max. 4 students)
This is a 15-minute warm-up session involving mini-presentations with the objective of developing confidence in speaking in front of others, voice projection, interaction skills, summarizing skills, giving reasons/opinions, and dealing with unexpected input in the form of questions.
Quatorial lessons™ (max. 4 students)
Lessons take place in small groups of a maximum of 4 clients per teacher. This format provides a high level of individual attention within a small, dynamic learning unit. The very small group means that the instructor is able to address fully the linguistic needs of each client.
Quatorial Project (max. 4 students)
This session allows for cooperative resolution of a design or function problem through paired teamwork. Monday involves the introduction of the problem and brain-storming a solution. Tuesday and Wednesday involve research and development of an action plan, while Thursday is meant for final adjustments and practice of a presentation to be made on Friday. In this session, the teacher acts as facilitator and evaluator.
Masterclass™ (12 students maximum)
This class allows for a guided self-learning and provides extra support to help students with difficult linguistic points. The teacher, in charge of a maximum of a 12 clients, sets learning projects which he/she monitors on a one-on-one basis for five to ten minutes at a time. The teacher thus acts as a catalyst for individual study, encouraging learner autonomy.
Spoken Performance Workshop (12 students maximum)
This forum for successful oral communication builds confidence in fluency across a range of contexts and functions after specific “warm-up” activities involving pronunciation, vocal control for tone and other elements of spoken language. In this session, the teacher acts as a prompter and evaluator.
